Round Table România

The motto of thirty thousand men, in three words:

Adopt.Adapt.Improve.

Since 1990, Round Table Romania has gathered young men aged 18–40 around one piece of furniture and one idea: that friendship, self-development and service can change a country.

In October 1990, months after the revolution, a group of young men in Brașov wrote to Round Table France asking for something Romania badly needed: connection to the world.

What came back was a charter, and a seat at a table founded in Norwich in 1927, where Louis Marchesi had convinced his generation that young men should adopt proven methods, adapt them to changing times, and improve everything they touch.

Thirty-six years later, Tablers in Romania still meet twice a month. They argue, they build, they knight new members with a sword, a tradition born here and exported to the world. And when they turn 40, they make room at the table for the next man.

Learning by Playing

Our flagship programme takes non-formal education into Romanian primary schools. Tablers fund it, build it and show up for it, because the best investment a table can make is in a child who learns to love learning.
